The Ghost Of 3.13 greets us with his third Christmas release on MOZYK!

A lovely tradition for the past 4 years, as lovely as his profound cinematic music. Mihai Costea's universe is immediately perceivable and shares a reflective story of heartaches, deceptions and orphic introspections. Still, we can feel a glimpse of hope which enlightens our journey through 12 chapters of his brand of eerie melodies, textured beats and pictorial producing. Although most of the album is serene and enigmatic, tension is palpable with "Grove", "Recurring Dream", "Feeble Bodies" & "Self-Destructive Pattern". Seems like anxiety and disbelief took over, eating up the artist's soul, until everything collapses with "Sarc" & "The Last Step", probably the most fearsome and decaying violence The Ghost Of 3.13 has ever unleashed. The final song "Pale Light" reminds us that, indeed, after a storm of this magnitude, the sun is not far and will grant us a well deserved lull.

If there was once beauty, it would stay immortal with this deep and thorough 56 minutes ode to elegance.

This is arguably one of Julien's best releases, for me it's almost like the turning point for him. Sure, his prior LPs and EPs packed quite a punch but this release is remarkable in terms of production and overall feel. This short little EP captures plenty of emotion and presents the idea of Ruby My Dear perfectly -- this EP showcases the varying styles and techniques seen from Julien's breakcore project, it's a stellar release. aFriendlyBullet
